Spine Exercises – How to Cut Workout Time in Half

Muscles are meant to work together, contracting and releasing, working as one

For years we have been conditioned to believe that isolating our muscles and exercising them in segregated sections helps to concentrate on each individual area. Now people are realizing that this is not such a good idea. Working the muscles in unison is known as full-body spine exercises and are found to be much more useful.

Many muscles are connected to the spine and commonly referred to as the "core". Because the muscles have to coordinate the movement of many necessary joints in many different directions, keeping them strong and in tone is important. Core stability is an essential determinant of success for all sports people. They have learned that the body’s core muscles are the foundation for all other movement.

When a small group of muscles are worked out individually, they are built up and toned to stand-alone but can they stand the strain of working together with the other surrounding muscles? Of course they cannot. Inside the torso, the spine, pelvis and muscles support the scapula that all also work in unison and create a solid base of support for muscles. This proves that muscles are meant to work together, contracting and releasing, working as one as presented in full-body spine exercises.

full body stretchThere are many who argue that muscles must be isolated in order for each muscle to become as strong and independent if need be. To a certain degree this does make sense but unfortunately, not true. Muscles are interconnected and if one muscle becomes more flexible and stronger than an attached member, it will put strain on the weaker muscle, causing a terrible imbalance. This also has a lot to do with our functional fitness, that is to say, the essential performance of our daily living and normal regular activities. Full-body spine exercises will keep all muscles at full potential when needed regularly. Injuries are also reduced when the muscles interact with one another to protect the weak from sprains.

While isolation exercises have been the popular method for keeping muscles in shape for years and years, full spine exercises are entering to make a big difference in full body coordination. People are learning that working a variety of muscle groups at one time and as a team is exactly like a well tuned engine. When all the parts of your car work together the car runs well, but as soon as one part weakens the would engine is affected. If you want to improve your posture, make sure you take advantage of a full body spine exercise routine. Working many muscles together is vital to improve posture over the long term.

Low Back Exercise For Back Pain Relief

Anyone who has to sit in front of a computer all day knows the importance of flexibility.

If you don’t get up every once in awhile and stretch out, your lower back becomes stiff and sore, and good posture hard to maintain throughout the day.

Sitting in an awkward posture could also lead to pinched nerve or sciatica problems.

      >> Click here for sciatica and back pain treatment and relief

So it’s your job to take the necessary steps to keep it from getting worse. The best way to do this is by utilizing the standing forward bend low back exercise

The standing forward bend strengthens the entire back and hamstrings but is especially good for the lower back. Have you ever gotten up from a long stretch at the computer and not had some sort of back pain? If not, you should start taking care of your back now before you wind up with serious back problems as you get older. The standing forward bend has other benefits too. It encourages proper neck alignment, helps overcome poor posture while sitting and helps to relieve your sore tailbone.

The standing forward bend is easy to do and can even be done at the office since all you need is a place to stand. To do this exercise, stand with your feet beside each other and bend forward from your hips. Exhale as you bend forward. Do what feels comfortable and do not force your head down if your back is tight. Be relaxed. This can be an advanced yoga exercise but you should do it according to your abilities.

People who do the advanced version of this exercise are able to place their hands flat on the floor. If you cannot do that, don’t worry, you will still get a lot of benefit. In fact, to do the advanced version you need to warm up your muscles first and you don’t have time to do that at work. A full posture program would be an added benefit but this exercise by itself will help you a lot. Anyone can do the simple forward bend and there is no need to warm up first so it is an ideal exercise to do throughout the day. Stay relaxed and make slow movements.

  1. Stand up straight with your feet at hip width
  2. Put your hands on your hips
  3. While keeping your knees straight, bend your upper body forward
  4. Let your arms hang straight down towards the floor
  5. Breathe and relax
  6. Hold the position for one minute
  7. Return to the standing position by rolling your back upright, your head being last

While you do the exercise be aware of any tension in your back and body. This simple awareness will help bring relief. Paying attention to your body can help calm many discomforts.

This version of the forward bend is very good for relieving tension all throughout the back, but especially in the lower back area that receives so much abuse while sitting. If you take advantage of this low back exercise then you’ll be able to relax those muscles and get the relief needed to keep your productivity levels high and eliminate the low back pain.

You will get the best results from this back exercise if you do it as part of your daily routine. It doesn’t take much time so you can fit it in several times a day like when you first get up in the morning, during your breaks at work, before lunch, and right before you go to bed. This will help relieve the pain you have now and will also help prevent problems with pain in the future.

In the end, lower back pain can be an irritating obstacle to overcome. While over-the-counter medicine can give you short term relief, you need to take advantage of a complete posture exercise system if you want a long term answer. You’ll gain more flexibility, less tension, and all the psychological issues that come with chronic pain. Best of all you can do it all naturally.

Lower Back Pain Exercises – An Introduction To Back Posture Overhaul

Lower back pain can be agonizing

Without an efficient and healthy lower back, every moment spent sitting or standing can be challenging, leaving us hopelessly wondering if the pain might ever lessen or vanish.

It could be due to sciatic nerve pain, or just poor posture. Pain from an unknown origin is also quite worrisome, since we can’t rid ourselves of it if we aren’t sure what causes it, often wondering if expensive drugs or surgeries might do the trick.

There is hope, however. Unless resulting from a serious trauma such as a break, most lower back pain can be lessened or eliminated completely and naturally by a good postural program and a regular exercise routine.

The lower back carries more weight than we may realize, even when our bodies feel relaxed and appear to be at rest. The head, shoulders and even the arms apply vertical pressure on the lower back and spine during every moment spent up-right, even when we sit.

Much of this support is derived from the lower back’s inward curve toward the body , forming an arch. Arches are stable structures capable of efficiently supporting heavy loads and, in a classic case of function following form, feature heavily in modern and ancient architecture.

Unfortunately, we often unknowingly compromise this natural support in many ways that feel completely relaxed. We do things that pull our vertebrae out of alignment, thus reducing or eliminating the natural arch. If the vertebrae are improperly aligned, back pain develops.

The musculature of the spine is often not developed well enough to maintain a natural posture, causing us to hunch. Sometimes we act to correct the problems ourselves without fully knowing how, unintentionally straining and causing tension that only makes things worse.

A proper posture program

A proper posture program, including lower back pain exercises will teach your body to find a comfortable stance, one you can hold for long periods, and train your body to hold it that way. By maintaining good and efficient posture, the pain you have long experienced will slowly diminish, or may even disappear entirely. What was once agonizing will then feel relaxed and natural.

A complete postural adjustment program should strengthen disused muscles so they aren’t fatigued when assuming efficient posture. It should also include stretches to increase flexibility. Relaxation exercises are also important, as tension can also inhibit good posture and encourage developing new bad habits. Finally, body awareness is essential to identify inefficiencies before they cause new pain and introduce new problems that must be corrected later.

All four of these criteria are essential for a good postural program. Without one, you may feel better at first, but over time the aches and pains will return as your body settles into its old and inefficient routines. When combined, however, these four types of exercise support and re-enforce each other. They’ll help you to not only acquire new good habits, but to maintain them, and to prevent inefficiencies from developing.

Better posture is not only important for pain management. It’s great for confidence as well. Those who stride through life standing straight and with heads held high are often treated with distinction, seen as inspirational. Striving to improve your posture is not only simple, but can have effects in many areas of life beyond naturally eliminating pains that may have plagued you for years. It is only a few steps away.

Lower Back Pain Exercise And The Health Of Your Spine

It’s hard to deal with lower back pain every single day

lower back pain remediesWhether you’re trying to work, take care of the kids, cut the grass, or even enjoying a movie, your life is disrupted by this constant pain. Since you can’t figure out why you have lower back pain, it’s hard to get rid of it. When this happens, it’s most likely bad posture. It could also be due to problems with the sciatic nerve

The good news is you can relieve some of that lower back pain by using good posture. Add a little lower back pain exercise regimen and you have yourself a healthy lower back.

Most of its support comes from the arch that curves in towards the body. Think of these as the foundation or structures that take on most of the support. It’s similar to the function following form used in ancient architecture.

Unfortunately, most of the time we compromise our arches without even realizing it. Anytime you don’t sit up straight, slouch, hunch over, and a million different other things, it leads to a bad alignment in your back or a bulging disc, known as sciatica. The only way to fix it is by teaching the body to sit, stand, and walk the right way. Doing so will alleviate a lot of your pain and free up some of that tension.

You would think keeping the spine aligned would be a simple task, but it’s quite difficult. Our society has so many bad habits; it’s hard to overcome them. Keep in mind you can’t fix them overnight, so you might as well understand it needs to be a slow process.

Improve Posture

A good posture program will teach your body to find a comfortable stance, one you can hold for long periods, and train your body to hold it that way. By maintaining good and efficient posture, the pain you have long experienced will slowly diminish, or may even disappear entirely. What was once agonizing will then feel relaxed and natural.

This will allow you to relieve pressure, but more importantly it will strengthen the muscles that aren’t used very much. So the next time you have to sit properly or stand upright, the muscles won’t be too tired and only last for a moment. Eventually you’ll also gain more flexibility and dexterity, which can literally change your life all on their own.

Everything involved is crucial to having good posture. If you want short term solutions that will relieve some pressure today, then take some medicine, a nap, or do some stretches. If you want a long term solution then get involved with a good posture program. It will teach the body to reinforce each new habit with one another for extra support.

Pain management

Plus, pain management is going to be very important in the upcoming months. Just seeing it work on a demo is one thing, but experiencing the benefits in your own body is magnificent. The self-confidence will be as good as ever, and you’ll be able to continue on the path of healthy living. We want to help every lower back pain sufferer out there understand you don’t have to live that way. You just have to know where to start. The best place to start is by learning how to improve posture.

Herniated Disc Sciatica Recovery

Herniated disc or sciatica treatment greatly varies from patient to patient and on a case to case basis. Treatments may either be aggressive or conservative, depending whether the pain came suddenly or became progressively worse. The usual approach of a herniated disc treatment is to have it the moderate, natural and non-invasive way.

herniated disc and sciatic nerveAfter the problem is diagnosed, usually, the patient will be advised to take on some rest. And eventually can return to normal routines. A few days off are much help already. The period of rest is to deflate the sciatic disc inflammation. But if it does not get any better with the non-invasive approach, then more advanced treatments will be administered.

A herniated disc treatment is basically to reduce the bulging disc and minimize the pain. Common practices of treatments are epidural steroid injections, physical therapies, muscle strengthening exercises, medications or prescriptive drugs, and surgery.

Taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications  is considered to be relatively safe and done orally to alleviate the pain but natural treatments are preferable. Such drugs include Medrol Dose Pack, among others. The epidural injection is another direct approach. Some patients also are under the influence of muscle relaxant to help them control muscle spasms on the course of their treatment. For extreme pain, narcotics are prescribed. In whatever form of drugs you are taking, extra care is essential.

Another substantial herniated disc and sciatica treatment is physical therapy. This may not directly affect the afflicted disc but it sure can brace the muscles of the lumbar spine. This will significantly decrease the load and pressure suffered by the vertebrae, nerves and disc. Stronger muscles are needed to get hold of the lumbar spine and decreases nerve and disc injuries and sensitivity.

For neurologic components such as numbness and weakness, one treatment needed may be surgery. Actually, surgery is preferred as the last resort if no other treatments work. But surgery is calculated depending on the condition and the patient’s health. Not all patients with herniated disc get to be advised for surgery.

Generally the aim is to provide comfort and ease despite the pain associated with a ruptured disc. Treatments are means to relieve the pain, numbness and weakness in the lower back and legs due to the compressed nerve root; to prevent recurrence of injury; to reduce the chances of disability; and to enhance the chances of resuming normal life and activities.

Since the disc inflammation eventually returns to its normal state, herniated disc patients recover in less than a month or for more serious conditions, after six months. Only 10% of patients exhibiting unchanged symptoms after six weeks are considered to undergo surgery treatment.

Treatment For A Bulging Disc

Bulging disc or Contained Spinal Disorder is a health condition that mainly occurs in the lumbar or lower back region, along the spine. It is also rarely observed in the neck region.

Bulging disc in back

The condition commonly occurs with age, due to natural degeneration of the intervertebral discs…

The human spinal chord is enclosed within the spine, which is made up of a number of intervertebral discs.

The main function of this system is to support body weight. However, on account of stress and age, the discs degenerate. The discs that otherwise act like shock absorbers to resist impact, lose out on flexibility and spongy nature.

The result, if it becomes herniated, is often inflammation and pain

Bulging Disc:

Bulging disc is a term that refers to a spine condition. The problem mainly affects the lumbar region or the lower back.

The condition is characteristic of a bulge in one or many spine discs. The bulge is seen through a crevice and is mostly made up of gelatinous material that is soft. The bulge indicates a shifted disc, moved well out of primary radius. The condition mostly accompanies the aging process.

Difference Between Bulging Disc and Herniated Disc:

A bulging disc is not the same as what is clinically referred to as a ‘herniated disc’. While the latter is a sudden development, the former occurs gradually. In the case of a herniated disc, the condition arises out of a trauma or injury in or around the region. Bulging disc, on the other hand, sets in with the natural aging process and is not accompanied by pain; unless of course, the disc does get herniated or interferes with a nerve.

Bulging Disc Treatment:

The diagnosis of the condition is usually alongside some other health or posture related problem. This is mainly because the bulging disc is not always accompanied by acute lower back pain. The diagnosis, most of the time, surfaces out of a routine imaging test via dedicated magnetic resonance imaging or an MRI scan of the region. The condition does not prove a handicap until it begins to hurt or herniates and/or ruptures. The treatment options in the case of bulging disc is relatively conservative. Doctors and physiotherapists mainly advise the patient to rest the back and restrict the lifting of weights. The other remedies include:

Although the bulging disc condition is mainly associated with the lumbar or lower back region, it also surfaces in the neck area. This condition brings on a shooting pain between the shoulders and arms. Such a pain is indicative of a pinched nerve in the region. In the case of the commonly observed bulging disc condition of the lumbar region in the spine, the back pain is radiated towards the lower appendages, or legs.

Bulging disc treatment is administered or even considered after a thorough physical examination. It is important for the doctor to diagnose the region and cause of discomfort to begin the treatment plan. Only in severe cases is back surgery opted for. This is mainly the option in the case of a bulge that becomes herniated.

Risks of Bulging Disc:

The condition manifests in the form of symptoms that are indicative of the region affected. Pain and discomfort in the hips, legs, arms, neck and lower back should not be ignored, if persistent. The risk factors ushered in with such ignorance include the development of the soft-tissue bulge into a herniated disc and sometimes, rupturing of the bulge. This not only worsens the condition, but also ends up in restricted movement and abnormal posture.

Sciatica Relief, Safe Back Exercises For Back Pain Sufferers

Sciatica is the condition when you experience pain or numbness in your lower back and down one or both legs.

causes symptoms of lower back painUsually it is a result of a misalignment or injury to your lower back which causes pressure to be placed upon the sciatic nerve. It is the pressure upon your sciatic nerve that causes the pain and numbness.

If you have regular episodes of sciatica and back pain there are a few simple things you can to do to alleviate it:

No 1. The first thing you need to is understand what things you are doing that are causing the sciatica pain in the first place and

No 2. Then you need to learn more about how to treat your back properly and stop doing those things that aggravate it.

The factors that increase your risk of experiencing sciatica and back pain include common factors such as:
Sitting or driving for long periods, especially with a bad posture and without taking a break for a stretch or a walk
Heavy and/or repeated lifting with a bad technique
Repetitive wrong/stressful movements
General lack of exercise and being out of condition or overweight

No 3. Thirdly, make the commitment to regularly practice a set of sciatica exercises to strengthen your back and stay pain free.

Your back is the central supporting and movement system of your body, so if the muscles that surround and support it are unfit and inflexible you are much more likely to develop sciatica and back problems.

Some Alternative Natural Treatments For Sciatica :

Your lower back is supported by the so-called “core muscles”. If these core muscles in particular are weak, it means your lower back is carrying a larger part of the strain of lifting and twisting and you are more likely to suffer low back pain as a result.

This is why a lot of back pain exercises focus on strengthening these core muscles, or at least “waking them up” and making them more flexible.

Getting Results
Most people find it is possible to stop sciatica in just a few weeks or sometimes just a few days and to give themselves a healthy back.

Sciatica Exercises
Remember, any sciatica exercises you do are going to be much more effective if you first eliminate the habits that are creating your sciatica in the first place. If you spend all day with a bad posture or repeating a movement that is bad for your back over and over, then, a few minutes of sciatica exercise will struggle to overcome the negative effects.

Walking exercises for back pain
Walking is great for your back and also a great all-round exercise but the reality is that in recent years people have tended to w alk less and less.

It might sound too simple, but if you don’t walk regularly already, adding a daily walk of 20-30 minutes to your routine will do wonders for your back and your overall health.

As you develop your endurance, you can walk further and add hmore hills into your route. Some people find that walking with hand weights and swinging their arms, extends the aerobic benefits of a walk.

Sciatica Stretch – The Back Pull Down
This exercise is great at waking up back muscles that are often dormant. It is best done with an elastic exercise band which you can buy from almost any sporting goods store.

As an alternative, you can use any household item that has some degree of elasticity e.g. an elastic luggage strap, an old bicycle inner tube etc. You can also use a rolled up towel, but the lack of stretch in it will make the exercise harder to do.

Sit upright in a chair with your back straight and your tummy pulled in. Raise your arms above your head holding the elastic band or towel in between them horizontally with your hands approximately shoulder width apart.

Stretch your arms up as far as they will go then slowly pull your arms behind your neck, keeping the elastic band or towel horizontal and with a slight tension on it.

Keep pulling down until the band is roughly half way down your back (if you can get that far). Rest there briefly, then raise your arms again until your arms up as far as they will go again. Remember to keep the band horizontal while you move it up and down.

Do the movements up and down slowly and steadily, don’t rush them. You can change the degree of difficulty and effect of the exercise by increasing or decreasing the tension on the band or towel.

If you pull harder to make it tight as you move up and down it takes more effort, but it has the benefit of working your back muscles harder and differently than if you do it with only light tension in the band.

Repeat the exercise about 5 times the first time you do it (depending on how fit you are and what your back tells you about the effect.

DON’T OVERDO it at first or you’re likely to end up sore and not inclined to do it again for a while and it is best done regularly.

Then you can build up the repetitions over time until you’ve reached 20, which is about as many as you will ever need to do at one time.

Swimming
Swimming has a great blend of characteristics – it is aerobic, it is strength building and it is low/no impact.

The freestyle stroke with alternate side breathing (meaning you breathe on the left side, do 1 or 3 strokes and then breathe on the right side and so on) is the best stroke for back problems. The regular up and down movement of your legs loosens and strengthens muscles in your lower back area.

As with walking, you can start off slowly and gradually build up how far you swim.

Besides exercise, relaxation is a great healer so it might be a good idea to take up meditation or listen to some relaxing CD’s on a regular basis.

I use relaxation CD’s myself on a regular basis and the relaxing music is particularly good for giving you a good night’s sleep. You can get some relaxing music here.

Mid Back Pain Relief: Do You Know These Techniques?

It can also be caused if you are lifting heavy loads and usually characterized by a sharp pain to your lower back. However, a number of mid back pain relief treatments can be used without the need for drugs. Stretching can be effective …

Understanding Lower Back Pain And What You Can Do About It …

With pain in lower back, it could be a number of different causes. One possibility is a pinched nerve, which can be identified if you feel a sharp pain that begins to spread to your buttocks or even down your leg.

The Foundation of Back Pain

Disk degeneration will show its self as chronic or sharp back pain as the muscles preserving the disks go into spasm. The disk degeneration may become inflamed and may possibly cause joint or structural pain.

What is Sciatica: Pain and Relief Remedies

Treatments for Sciatica, an aching condition that is characterized by lower back pain are numerous. Let us discover some  effective Home Remedies for Sciatica Relief ..

lower back painSciatica Causes

It is essential to understand that sciatica itself is not the name of a disease but rather it is condition caused by a set of other conditions. Sciatica is generally caused by these primary conditions:

Firstly we have Herniated Discs which is sciatica caused by the pressure from a herniated or protruding disc on the sciatic nerve. A herniated disc is simply a disc that has been displaced due to external pressure from an accident or by constant pressure due to muscle imbalance. This can be the cause for sciatic pain but it is equally important to note that many people with herniated discs may not experience any pain at all.

Then sciatica can be caused by Piriformis Syndrome. The piriformis muscle exerts pressure on the sciatic nerve when muscle imbalances cause the joints in the pelvic areas to be pulled out of place and thus changing the seat of the piriformis muscle, which in turn puts pressure on the sciatic nerve.

Learn how to ease or prevent sciatica

Spinal Stenosis is the narrowing or constriction of the space in the spinal canal causing muscle imbalances that tug at your hip and spine and cause them to become positioned awkwardly causing an irritation due to constant contact and pressuring the sciatic nerve.

Isthmic Spondylolisthesis
This is when a vertebra is dislocated from its normal position and can start to pinch the sciatic nerve.

If you have noticed all these conditions have a common denominator: muscle strain or muscle imbalance. A muscle injury can occur anywhere and it means that your muscle flexibility is reduced and there is pain in most cases followed by various other sciatica symptoms like numbness, muscular irritation, tingling sensation etc.

These may be a result of a more serious internal condition and it is imperative to consult a doctor immediately to be able to diagnose the correct reason for this condition. In rare cases, a surgery might be necessary too but in most cases the diagnosis consists of pain alleviating medication, analgesics and specially designed exercises that must be practiced with regularity in order to obtain sciatica relief.

Sciatica Treatment
Though exercises and medication is a must but they must only be taken after advice from a doctor. But there have been some time tested  natural cures for healing sciatica.

Sciatica cures assume various forms and these home remedies have been found to be very helpful if incorporated into daily life along with the proper exercise routines.

Home remedies for sciatica relief

A pain relief nutritious diet

Juices like the juice of potatoes and celery leaves. These juices in combination are said to provide sciatica relief when drunk in a minimum quantity of 10 ounces daily. The addition of carrots and beetroots to this mixture is said to fortify the strength and taste. If you can’t drink the juice drinking celery tea throughout the day is also beneficial.

Elderberry juice and/or elderberry tea is a known muscle relaxant and stimulant and is said to treat sciatica symptoms.

Consuming raw garlic or taking garlic supplements with along with additional supplements of vitamin B1 and B-complex gives relief from aches and pains, aids circulation, is an anti-oxidant and also provides the body with warmth and energy.

The common natural sources of B1 or Thiamine are Green peas, Spinach, Liver, Beef, and Pork, Navy beans, Nuts, Pinto beans, Bananas, Soybeans, Whole-grain Cereals, Breads, unpolished rice and Legumes. Thus maintaining a healthy balanced diet containing these and salads containing watercress and parsley apart from green leafy vegetables and fresh red vegetables is very important for good health.

If you have answered yes to any of the questions above, you are in good company. Unfortunately, back pain and sciatica are a pain complex suffered by literally millions of Americans every year. In fact, almost half a million people are operated on every year for what most people refer to as a bad back. Severe and chronic pain may be caused by many things but is often the result of the stress, strain, and trauma we impose on our muscles, connective tissue (tendons and ligaments), discs, and even the vertebrae themselves.

And when they are stressed so are we. A large part of chronic pain management is learning how to relax enough for the pain to go down and self hypnosis which you can do at home would be recommended for this.

While it is true that many back injuries are the result of significant trauma and disease, the majority of back pain and sciatica results from normal, day-to-day activities. what is the pain in the middle right side of my backThe activities resulting in back strain and injury may be as mundane as working around the garden, sweeping the driveway or raking leaves, shoveling snow (always a good one), lifting laundry or grocery bags, household chores, and picking up children or grandchildren.

Often, simple adjustments to movement and behavior, properly and consistently implemented, go a long way towards preventing or at least minimizing back strain and its consequences. A few bad back strategies in particular are quite effective in minimizing the consequences of back stress and strain:

first and foremost, be aware of body position while engaged in activities that may impact the back, particularly the lower back; next, maintain good posture through exercise, conscious thought, and eventually, habit; third, make sure to stretch often, usually as part of a total exercise program; along with the third bad back strategy, integrate a consistent, individualized, and professionally supervised exercise program into your life; next, make sure to always know your limits; and, always listen to that still, small voice in your head, if it says you’re pushing it, you probably are; finally, lose weight.

Ultimately, a medical consultation may be the wisest strategy, particularly if your back pain and sciatica continue for more than a few days. Do not wait for it to worsen! If you have engaged in an exercise program and are losing weight, you should begin to experience relief quickly. You will be amazed at how soon after beginning an intelligent, focused, and individualized exercise program you start feeling real relief. If you do not, see your physician and he or she will recommend a good orthopedic surgeon or neurologist. Bad back strategies are easy to implement and, from personal experience, are easily made habits, allowing you to significantly minimize, and ultimate eliminate, your pain. After years of pain and surgeries, weight loss and exercise, along with the other strategies mentioned above, allowed me to re-enter life as a participant and not just as a spectator, miserable, depressed, and disabled. It is not easy and it takes conscious effort but it is doable and the results are amazing! So remember, posture, positioning, lifting, exercise, and weight loss.
